The Klondike Cougars split their season-opening dual match Tuesday afternoon at Wink.
“You could definitely tell that we’re still pretty rusty at times. It got a little chaotic out there, too. Those are all signs of a new season,” Klondike Coach Eva Myers said.
The Cougars lost to always-tough Wink, 25-11, 25-8, 25-10, in their opening match.
“Wink’s pretty good and right now we’re pretty young. They’ve got some very good hitters, but we’ll get there,” Myers said.
Klondike’s girls notched their first win by knocking off Kermit, 25-16, 25-22, 25-23, in their second match.
