The Klondike Cougars took their first step in the Class 1A volleyball playoffs Thursday at Rankin by spiking the Marfa Shorthorns, 25-21, 25-10 and 2513, in the area round.By winning the District 2-1A championship the Cougars got a bye in the first round. Marfa made it to the area round by beating Balmorhea in bidistrict Tuesday in three straight sets.“Overall our girls played really well again tonight.
