Klondike’s girls basketball squad didn’t return home from Class 4A Monahans Tuesday with a victory but they did feeling a lot better about themselves and their progress. The Cougars gave the 4A Loboettes all they wanted for four quarters before Monahans prevailed, 46-39. Monahans was up 24-18 at the half. “We’ve been preaching toughness here lately to our girls and they showed a lot more fight in this game” Klondike Coach Kelsey Canavan said.
