Klondike’s girls started their quest for the District 8A championship Friday night at Cougar Gym where they blew out the Wellman-Union Wildcats, 77-25, in their league opener.“Our girls played really well again tonight. Our girls shot the ball well and defended well,” Klondike Coach Kelsey Canavan said. “Wellman’s got a small team so we definitely had a size advantage on them.”Klondike jumped out to a 34-6 first-quarter lead before going up 49-16 at the half.
