The Klondike Cougars saw one of their best seasons on the high school gridiron come to a rough ending last Saturday evening at Sweetwater, where Benjamin booked its return to AT&T Stadium to the Cougars’ expense.The top ranked Mustangs moved one big step closer to repeating as the Division II state six-man champs after thumping Klondike, 52-4, at the Mustang Bowl. The game was stopped with 7:19 still remaining on the third quarter clock on six-man’s 45-point mercy rule.“It’s been a fun year. We’re never going to take anything for granted,” Klondike Coach Dalton DeGraffenreid said. “Right now, it’s hurts.
