Lamesa’s junior high volleyballers found tough sledding against Denver City here Monday evening managing to win only one out of four matches.
The Golden Tors’ eighth grade A team is now 6-3 on the year after dropping a tough three-set match, 22-25, 25-22 and 16-25.
“Our girls played tonight with little communication and energy. We struggled passing the ball and Denver City took advantage of that with their strong serves,” Coach Liz Castro said.
“The will to win is there but the fight to get there is sometimes missing.”
Lamesa’s lone win came in the eighth grade B team match, 25-18, 20-25 and 25-5.
