Lamesa’s junior high volleyballers split their matches Monday evening at Levelland, winning two out of the four matches against the Loboettes.
The Golden Tornadoes won the seventh grade A match, 11-25, 25-14, 25-13, improving their season record to 3-1.
“We had a slow start due to a lack of focus but we eventually woke up and started playing well,” Coach Vanessa Hernandez said. “Week to week, we’re slowly making progress and our goal is to continue doing so again this week.”
The Golden Tornadoes won the seventh grade B team match, 25-22, 25-10. That squad also improved its season record to 3-1.
