Lamesa’s junior high basketball girls enjoyed a clean sweep here Thursday against Big Spring. The Golden Tornadoes won the eighth grade A game, 38-18, to improve their season record to 6-5. “Our girls played a good game. They hustled the whole way,” Coach Gerry Woodberry said. Lamesa rolled to a 38-6 win in the eighth grade B game. “I’m very pleased with our girls’ overall effort tonight. I’m seeing noticeable improvement with each game,” Coach Liz Castro said.
