Lamesa’s junior high girls basketball squads experienced a tough start to the season Thursday evening at Snyder where they dropped three out of their four games to the Tigers.
Lamesa lost the eighth grade girls A game, 36-26.
“Our girls played hard. We came out flat in the first quarter but we picked it up,” Coach Gerry Woodberry said. “We got into early foul trouble and we’re going to have to improve on free throws and our lay ups.
“Overall, I was pleased with the way we played.”
Lamesa’s eighth grade girls B team won its season opener, 27-9, over the Tigers.
