Four years after coaching his high school alma mater to the high school volleyball playoffs, Marcus Hereford has been helping coach his college alma mater to the NCAA playoffs.
The 2007 Lamesa High School graduate, who headed up the Golden Tornado volleyball program for two years, leading them to the post-season in 2017.
Hereford returned to his college alma mater, Jackson State University, where he had been a student assistant for Coach Rose Washington.
“They’ve only had four conference championships in the school’s history and now I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of three of them,” Hereford said.
