A match-up between two top-20 teams in the state ended up with a 44-38 home win for Grady over the Borden County Coyotes in District 8-1A boys basketball action on Friday night.
“It was tough right off the bat,” Borden County Coach Bubba Edwards said. “We started slow and dug ourselves into a hole.”
The Coyotes trailed 11-9 after the first quarter but the game was tied at 13-all after two periods.
The third quarter turned out to be the pivotal one, as Grady outscored Borden County 15-9 in that period.
