In high school at Stamford, Lamesa Coach Mario Gonzales enjoyed an athletic career un-matched by most. After playing on a state championship football team with the Bulldogs, Gonzales is now hoping to lead the Golden Tornadoes to happier times on the high school gridiron. It’s been nearly 20 years since the Golden Tors last made it to the post-season. They struggled through an 0-10 season last year.
