The recent basketball season was one of those ragsto- riches stories for Lamesa High School girls.After struggling through a dismal 3-24 season a year ago the Golden Tors turned it around to go 17-18. They beat District 4-3A champion Stanton in bi-district before falling to traditional toughie Shallowater in the area round of the playoff, making Trenton Jones’ first season as a head coach one which he’ll never forget.Three Golden Tor girls made all-district, with Fashaa Edwards recognized as District 3-3A’s Defensive MVP.
