Lamesa’s varsity girls basketball team used a big third quarter to capture a 48-41 win over Fort Stockton here on Tuesday.
“This was a really good bounce-back game for us after the Andrews tournament,” Lamesa Coach Shai Young said. “The third quarter has been a struggle for us this season but the third quarter was the best quarter for us in this game. It shows we are learning and getting better.”
Lamesa led 24-21 at halftime but outscored the Prowlers 17-8 in that pivotal third quarter.
