Golden Tornado tracksters continued to find life in the fast lane in their second meet of thed season last Friday evening at Denver City. Both Lamesa’s varsity and JV boys turned in strong third place team finishes. Lamesa’s varsity boys finished the day with 133 points. “We were real excited about getting third with both of our teams, especially with our numbers,” Coach Gerry Woodberry said. Gold medal winners for the varsity track boys were Derek Guajardo, Tyrell Manuel and Jonathan Davis. Guajardo won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.27. Manuel won the long jump with a jump of 20-7 1/2.
