A quick start helped open the door for Borden County’s girls softball squad Friday evening at Western Texas College in Snyder.
The Coyotes thumped the Ira Bulldogs, 18-3, in a game stopped after five innings on the 10-run rule.
“This game came down to a lot of our hits and a lot of their errors,” BC Coach Rusty Rainbolt said.
After getting swept in a District 4-2A doubleheader this past Monday at Hermleigh the Coyotes erupted for 10 first-inning runs before coasting to their first district win of the season.
