It was very much a game of free throws when Lamesa High School’s girls faced Lubbock Estacado on Tuesday in District 3-4A basketball action. Unfortunately, Lamesa’s girls wound up on the short side of both the free throws and total score in a 66-44 loss at Lubbock. Combined, the two teams shot a total of 77 free throws, with Lamesa going 22-of-24 from the stripe while Estacado made 29 of 43. Exactly half of the Golden Tornadoes’ points came from free throws.
