It may be a few years before many of the Lamesa school district’s bond-funded projects come to full fruition, but one is just days away from completion.
Installation of artificial turf and related improvements at the school’s baseball and softball fields may be completed by the end of this coming week, according to Superintendent Jim Knight.
“We’re excited about getting this done,” Knight said on Friday afternoon after visiting the fields to check on the progress. “I think it will be nice.”
Athletic Director Gregg Moreland says the improvements should make the Lamesa fields among the best in the area.
