Although the Lamesa High School girls basketball team had yet to win a game in district play, one would have thought they were fighting for the playoffs here on Friday evening. The home crowd at Follis Gymnasium was on their feet at times in the fourth quarter as the Golden Tornado girls fought tooth-and-nail to stay right with a Lubbock Estacado squad that had beaten them by 22 points during the first half of district play.
