A change of venue this past year didn’t faze Borden County High School’s tradition-rich football program. Following last February’s biennial UIL realignment and reclassification the Coyotes were assigned to Region I for the first time since 2015 Not only did the Coyotes go 11-3 and win a 13th straight district championship, they went four rounds deep in the playoffs before falling to eventual state champion Sterling City in the state semi-finals, 48-40 in overtime.
