O’Donnell High School’s girls and boys basketball seasons are off and running. After losing their first game of the season, the Eagle girls have won four straight. Friday evening at Meadow they knocked off the Broncos, 51-31. O’Donnell led 35-21 at the half. Maddye Sumners had 18 points and Juanita Renteria had 10 for O’Donnell while Kamryn Rickman and Mariah Nelson had six each. The Eagles are 4-1 going into the holiday break. “Nearly everybody scored for us in this game. Our girls really responded well in the second half,” O’Donnell Coach Allison Hancock said.
