The Dawson Dragon basketball boys celebrated their second win of the season Tuesday evening at Welch with a 61-43 victory over Southland’s JV.
“It was great to see our guys playing as well as they did again tonight. Our guys aren’t only playing hard but they’re also playing together,” Dawson Coach Layne Sheets said.
A balanced scoring punch did the trick for the Dragons as four players reached double digits led by Sam Penner’s 22 points. Josh Esparza had 14 points, including two three-pointers.
Zane Jolley had 12 points while Angel Ramirez had 11 and Donovan Moreno chipped in two.
