As the Dawson Dragons bring six-man high school football back to Welch this fall, Superintendent Layne Sheets believes they’ve got the right man for the job. The Dawson school board this past week named John Hodges as their new field boss. “We’re real excited,” Sheets said. Sheets has a good idea of what to expect with Hodges, as they worked together at Morton when Sheets was the Indians’ head boys basketball coach and Hodges was the school’s business manager. “I guess you can say that we’re trading places this time.
