Dawson ISD’s new superintendent, Layne Sheets, could very well be one of the NBA Minnesota Timberwolves’ newest fans.
But one could hardly blame him.
That all started in June when the Timberwolves named Texas Tech superstar Jarrett Culver as their No. 1 draft pick.
Culver was last year’s Big 12 Player of the Year who powered Coach Chris Beard’s Red Raiders to the NCAA championship game. Culver, a 6-foot-4, 170-pounder, was taken as the sixth pick in this summer’s NBA Draft.
