The Borden County Coyotes on Thursday definitely didn’t look like a ball club which dropped down a notch in this week’s state rankings.
After slipping from first to second in this week’s Division I state six-man poll, Coach Trey Richey’s Coyotes went out and played like they had something to prove.
They did that in a big way as second-ranked Borden County rallied past third-ranked White Deer, 66-37.
The game was not only the Coyotes’ final non-district tune-up but it also avenged a 42-20 loss to the Bucks a year ago.
