It didn’t take long for the Borden County Coyotes to take a liking to the newly turfed Golden Tornado Stadium.
The Division I District 6A six-man football champs continue turning the game into a track meet – one in which they’re often crossing the finish line while their opponents are just getting out of the starting blocks.
Coach Trey Richey’s Coyotes took a big first step in the state playoffs here Thursday night by walloping the Morton Indians, 62-6. For their sixth straight game, the Coyotes were finished at the half on six-man’s 45-point mercy rule.
