It was homecoming night Friday at Gail where the Borden County Coyotes looked prime to make a serious run for their 13th straight district championship.
The Coyotes, who moved back up to third in this week’s Division I state six-man poll, didn’t have much trouble with winless Meadow as they rolled to a 61-8 victory in their D I District 4-1A six-man opener.
The game was stopped at the half on six-man’s football’s 45-point rule.
The contest was all but over after the Coyotes erupted for 46 points in the first quarter.
