A touchdown late in the fourth quarter helped Sterling City hold off Borden County in a 62-58 six-man thriller Friday night at Sterling City.
The game featured two of the top-ranked teams in the state.
The Coyotes, ow 2-2, were up 58-56 going into the final minute of Friday’s game but the Eagles scored the gamewinning TD with only 32 seconds left on the clock to improve 4-0 this season.
After knocking off topranked Rankin Friday night, Borden County had climbed to second in this week’s Division I state poll. Sterling City was fifth in that poll.
