The Klondike Cougar basketball boys had to overcome somewhat of a sluggish start Tuesday at Cougar Gym before rallying past the Class 2A Forsan Buffaloes, 63-52.
Klondike’s boys, now 3-1 on the year, found themselves down 17-12 at the end of the first quarter. The Cougars outscored the Buffaloes, 15-7, in the second quarter to open a 27-24 halftime edge.
Klondike outscored Forsan, 36-28, in the second half.
“We’ve got a group which just loves to play this game. They’ve been together for a while and they just really understand the game,” Klondike Coach Chad Myers said. “Our guys play good team ball.”
