The Klondike Cougars are still reaping benefits for one of their best high school football seasons in recent school history.
After winning their first district championship and first playoff game in a quarter of a century, the Cougars were ranked sixth in the final Division II state six-man football rankings.
Now several of the Cougars have been recognized among the best Division II players in the state by the Texas Six-Man Coaches Association.
Senior quarterback Kylar Pepper and junior spread back Josh Arismendez were named to the second team offense while junior linebacker Tucker Thixton was chosen second team defense.
