After Lamesa High School’s all-everything pitcher Laila Vasquez and sister catcher Amaya Vasquez finished their high school softball careers in the Region I-3A finals a couple of years ago, most local fans couldn’t help but look at the future of this program as being in that rebuilding mode.But this program went from graduating two standout senior sisters to welcoming two promising freshmen in Emma and Lilliana Contreras.
