Lamesa High School’s Golden Tornado varsity boys basketball team was dealt a 69-31 loss by Midland Lee here Tuesday evening. A Class 6A squad, Lee jumped out to a 49-17 lead at halftime. Senior Jackson Napper lead the Golden Tornadoes in scoring with 10 points. Khalil Smiley had eight points and Ethan Rodriquez scored 4. Lamesa’s varsity boys, now 4-6 this season, will be hosting Kermit this Friday. The Lamesa junior varsity boys team fell to Midland Lee by a score of 84-24 on Tuesday. Tyrell Manuel was Lamesa’s leading scorer with six points. Lamesa’s JV squad will return to action here next Tuesday against Snyder. ...
