With all five of her starters averaging in or near double digits, one of the first things Borden County girls basketball coach Lindsey Schmidt mentions about her state-ranked squad is its balance.
That balance was evident Thursday evening at Welch as the Coyotes breezed to a 74-44 win over Meadow in the bi-district round of the Class 1A playoffs.
The Coyotes had five players in double figures.
“At times, our girls looked really good out there but there were times where we still looked a little sloppy,” BC Coach Lindsey Schmidt said.
