A strong finish Monday evening at Post helped the Borden County’s softball squad chalk up its first win of this season.
The Coyotes scored seven out the game’s final eight runs en route to a 12-4 victory. Borden County, now 1-1, scored six runs in the fifth inning and one in the sixth.
“It feels great to get that first one behind us. We played well. Rexie (Sanders) pitched well and defensively we also did a good job of backing her up,” Borden County Coach Rusty Rainbolt said. “Our girls also did a good job of hitting the ball.”
