The Borden County Coyotes and O’Donnell Eagles will open the Class 1A state baseball playoffs this week.District 4-1A’s top seed in the playoffs, Borden County will face Crosbyton at 5 p.m. Thursday at Floydada in a best-two-out-of three playoff series. The second game, and a third one if necessary, will be played Saturday afternoon at either Lamesa’s Joe Spikes Field or at Snyder.The Eagles will open the playoffs at 5 p.m. Thursday against Springlake-Earth at Slaton in a single winnertake-all game.The Coyotes and Eagles each have a practice game before opening up postseason.
