Neither Borden County nor Klondike could hold early leads against Grady in their mini-tournament for a playoff spot this past week.
As a result, it will be the Grady girls advancing to the Class 1A basketball playoffs as the third-place representative from District 8-1A.
Grady earned that playoff berth by beating Borden County 47-40 on Thursday and topping Klondike by a score of 46-33 on Friday.
The games were necessary after the three teams finished district play tied for third place – behind district champion Garden City and runnerup Sands – with identical 2-6 league records.
