The Borden County Coyotes were crowned as the District 4-1A baseball champs last Saturday evening at Levelland after holding off the Morton Indians, 7-4, in the final game of the regular season.With that win, the Coyotes finished the regular season at 11-8 overall going 3-1 in league play. Morton will be 4-1A’s runners-up in the post-season after finishing district play at 2-2.With Saturday’s win the Coyotes are now 11-8 overall.The District 4-1A champs open up the Class 1A state playoffs by taking on the District 3-1A runners-ups Springlake-Earth Wolverines starting at 6 p.m. Friday at Sundown.
