After being ranked this past week as the number one Class 1A softball team in the state, the Borden County Coyotes found their backs to the wall after the first game of their regional quarterfinal playoff series against Vernon Northside at Hawley.Thursday’s playoff battle between two of the top four teams in the state was a classic.
