After losing last week’s season opener at Ropes, 53-38, the Borden County Coyote girls have now won two straight with Tuesday’s 88-40 blowout victory at Class 4A Big Spring.
After leading 21-16 at the end of the first quarter, the Coyotes started pulling away from the Steers with a big 15-7 second quarter.
“Defensively, our girls really got after it again,” BC Coach Lindsey Schmidt said. “Our girls are really playing fast and together.”
Maggie Miller’s 21 points led a trio of Coyotes in double digits. Kenzie White had 17 points and Allison Buchanan had 16.
