Borden County junior Kambell Schmidt won the Highland Cross Country Meet this past Monday.Schmidt, one of the three runners back from last year’s Coyote squad which finished third in the state, covered the twomile course in 13:32.“Kambell was out her freshman year with a calf injury before missing most of her sophomore year due to an illness.
