A 22-5 third quarter was the difference-maker as the Borden County girls pulled out a 48-47 win over the Klondike Lady Cougars on Friday evening at Gail.
After being tied 13-all after the first quarter, Klondike was up 26-20 at the half.
“The first half we played well but Klondike was really hot shooting the ball. They made six threes (three-pointers) in that first half,” Borden County Coach Lindsey Schmidt said.
The situation flip-flopped in the third quarter.
“We didn’t show up in the third quarter and they really made their shots,” Klondike Coach Xavier Elizondo said.
