Borden County’s District 7-1A boys hoop champs had to survive a scare from Garden City Friday night at Gail.
“It really seemed like we trailed most of this game tonight,” BC Coach Bubba Edwards said.
But the Coyotes found a way to come out on top in a 44-38 nailbiter.
The Coyotes, 26-2 overall and 9-0 in district play, found themselves down 18-10 at the end of the first quarter and 26-22 at the half.
“They did a good job playing ball control which limited our possessions,” Edwards said. “We’re tickled pink with the way our guys fought back. “
