Borden County’s Zane Allen has grown accustomed to post-season awards. He got his latest only about a month away from the beginning of a new school year.
After already being recognized as one of the best in the state in each of his sports, Allen was recognized as one of the premier high school baseball players again just this week by earning first-team all-state from the Texas Sportswriters’ Association.
Earlier this summer Allen earned second-team all-state from the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association.
