With opening day of the season right around the corner, Golden Tornado baseball coach Bobby Alvarez’s sluggers continue to fine tune their game. The team played its second scrimmage here on Monday against Greenwood. The Rangers outscored Lamesa 11 runs to three. “They’ve always got a good team and we’ve still got some work to do,” Alvarez said. “Once we get all of our kids out from basketball we feel like we’re going to end up being OK.” The Golden Tors’ got only four hits here Monday.
