The annual Golden Tornado Sports Banquet is coming up 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Lamesa High School Cafeteria.For the second straight year the Golden Tornadoes made the playoffs in every sport except one.“It’s been another great year. With as many outstanding athletes that we’ve had in all of the different sports we’ve got a lot of individuals and achievements that we need to recognize,” said Lamesa Athletic Director Gregg Moreland.Guest speaker at the event will be Dwight Heins, who has covered Golden Tornado sports for the Lamesa Press-Reporter since 1982.Student athletes will be allowed to bring two parents/guardians.
