Both the Klondike Cougars and Sands Mustangs will be hosting basketball tournaments starting Thursday.Klondike’s tournament will feature both boys and girls action while Sands will have boys only, in both varsity and JV divisions.“It should be a very exciting weekend,” Klondike boys basketball coach Xavier Elizondo said. “We’re looking forward to lots of good basketball.”The tournament will have eight varsity boys teams and 10 varsity girls teams.Klondike’s girls will play two games on Thursday, taking on Whitharral at 2 p.m. and Midland Christian at 5:45 p.m. The Cougar boys will open the tournament against Loop at 7 p.m. Thursday.The tournament ...
