The Borden County Coyotes and Sands Mustangs are now sending runners to next week’s Class 1A State Cross Country Championships at Round Rock.For the third time in the past five years, Borden County’s girls are going to state as region champions.Initial results in Monday’s Region I-1A meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock resulted in a tie between Borden County and Jayton for the top team spot with 147 points each.“The tiebreaker came down to our sixth place runners. Our sixth place runner finished one spot better than what their’s did so we won regionals by something like two seconds,”
