Sands’ senior Wiley Gaskins continues looking like a definite contender with a solid second place showing at the big Lubbock Invitational held last Saturday at Mae Simmons Park.Gaskins, who ran at state in both cross country, and the high school track meet a year ago, finished second in that race by covering that three-mile course in 17:49.2.Paint Rock’s Austin Magness won that race with a time of 17:40.7.
