After helping lead their softball teams to successful seasons this spring, four area sluggers have been recognized among the best in the state by the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Two Lamesa pitchers, junior Jadeyn Merrill and sophomore Laila Vasquez, made Class 3A’s Dream Team. Borden County senior shortstop Haddie Flanigan and freshman pitcher Rexie Sanders are on the 1A All-State list. Both the 26-8 Golden Tors and 14-4 Coyotes enjoyed banner seasons.
