It was a good weekend for area talent in the annual Texas Six-Man Coaches Association’s all-star games at Wichita Falls, but probably nobody went home smiling more than O’Donnell’s Maddye Sumners.
Not only did Sumners and the West blow out the East, 100-66, in the all-star girls basketball game, Sumners was named the game’s Offensive most valuable player.
Sumners scored 22 points, including five three-pointers.
“This weekend was lots of fun. I got to play with a really good group of girls – all of them were very talented,” Sumners said.
